Breeding conditions:

Pomarine Skuas began incubation only in early July. Long-tailed Skuas were common nesting and nomadic birds. Nesting of waders was successful, although their numbers on the watershed tundra were not high. Lemmings were rare on islands adjacent to the Lena delta near the end of the Olenyok channel while nesting of waders there went well.
 

Rodent dynamics:

Populations of both lemming species in the early summer were average and increasing.
